in nev xubuntu 11.10, since clean installation, if open thunar, works great, if open nautilus, desktop turn black without background, black , come desktop icons in desktop folder. prefer background/wallpaper , no icons. can do? run instead nautilus --no-desktop. can't find way set permanently way, other possibly edit /usr/share/applications/nautilus.desktop --no-desktop @ end of "exec" line (i haven't tried - gnome's installed de @ moment.) what's happening nautilus trying draw desktop wallpaper, because performs function in gnome (although shouldn't doing under xubuntu , didn't before gnome 3, , should file bug on it.) lightroom 4.3.  "the following files not imported because not read."  problem not camera or card or card reader.  computer , hard drive fine.  brief online search makes clear has happened out of blue number of people wide variety of cameras , computers.  have solid solution this? off hand, don't hvae permission write destination folder.  double check , make sure have read , write permissions drive/folder attempting import to. hey all. upgraded ubuntu 11.04 11.10 , works well. tried out unity since when upgraded installed gnome 3 too, though i'd give shot. lot, there crippling bug makes irritating use. see, when go activities, on upper right there basic type search bar. can't use it. whenever type in whatsoever it, activities screen stops , brings me desktop. if try again (usually 2nd or 3rd time), ui quits. computer isn't frozen, can still right click on desktop, shell... isn't there. have no idea. rebooting fixes problem remains if try again. computer updated. typing in other activities search has no problems. using (x)ubuntu 11.10, trying gnome 3.x function correctly. appreciated. in advance. i experienced exact same problem. sorry don't know how fix it, can help. hello, wondering if issue receive message: "file size exceeds maximum allowed size of 1024 bytes" i have changed of settings in joomla upload size editor i'm using (jce editor) 20 mb , when go php settings can see max upload size 20mb. have php.ini file sets max upload size 20mb. works when try upload file that's 5mb using image manager ("insert/edit image") button. file uploads fine, no issues. if try upload file via "insert/edit link" button, above error message. would happen know why can upload file in 1 area not other? upload lot of pdf documents our site , easier upload , insert via "link" button having upload via "image" button, copying link , adding link manually. any appreciated. thank you! what editor using?
