alright, long story short, friend's macbook pro hard drive no longer mount, , won't boot osx. when put drive external enclosure, can access files in ubuntu 10.4, after using sudo nautilus. can view/listen , pictures , music on drive once we've done sudo nautilus, trying copy or external drive doesn't work , gives error "error opening file: permission denied". i'm bit of linux noob, if of have ideas, please let me know! thanks, guys! flash player not want stream live. keep getting black screen instead, , no sound. however, able watch youtubes , recorded clips.   this data of computer: fash 11.6.602.180 os windows 7 (32) google chrome browser   and yes, did go through steps suggested adobe flash player page. no avail. please not suggest again, as it did not work.   this new problem, since able live stream several months ago, while running same browser , os. what's happening other browsers?  have url can try? i looking advice on how go building secure system public setting. here's i'm looking for, in nutshell: a "guest" account user may login without needing password. the ability restrict aspects of user. no access filesystem outside own "/home" directory, no ability make changes system itself, etc. after period of inactivity, user automatically logged out , entire "/home" directory reset exact state in before logged in...essentially wiping out changes may have made, including browser history, files copied, etc. basically, used within public setting guests need have full access internet , ability edit , print office documents personal usb drives. nothing more, nothing less. i've looked @ webconverger (way limited) , xpud (again, limited). there way install ubuntu , create limited guest account , handle rest of need scripts? or signs in right direction highly appreciated!

hi, discovered mimms.. 1 saves stream on hdd.. tried code: mimms -t 10 mms://wms.di-ve.com/encoder_tvm in terminal, can record 10 minutes of stream never finished 10 minutes. never stops after "certain" amount of time, stops after second , others stops after 3 minutes.. honest, i'm not sure if it's mimms problem really, because if try , play same live stream in firefox, stops after amount of time , not reconnect or rebuffer, able watch 2 hour video on youtube (yes exist) without problem i'm figuring it's either mms or maybe because requires wmp? don't know, know works fine under windoze 7. able record ubuntu since mimms can record , save multiple streams @ same time.. 1 thing should add when mimms stop, doesn't give error time remaining stops , nothing happens if leave 20minutes although recording time set 10minutes.. if need additional information or let me know. in advance.

i've spent couple of hours trying dabo working. normal way of installing didn't work (as seems happen lot of people), tried other recommended way of creating path file in python's "site-packages" folder. in terminal used gksudo..... create , edit dabo.pth file there , typed following line file , saved: home/james/programming/dabo tried test "import dabo" see if works, error message "no module named dabo". i've done lot of google searching still don't see i'm doing wrong. after lot more searching , testing, completing of steps on page solved problem: http://wiki.dabodev.com/installationonlinux important information there may have been supposed working in dist-packages instead of site-packages (i guess dabo installation guides written windows users). this really strange problem, developing android app vod. decided on adobe air/flex basis spark video player player. video served wowza 3.5.2 now, there's strange bug. when long video reaches time (1:39:24 , i.e. 5924s), current position displayed on player interface starts jump around. instead of increasing 1 every second, go 1:39:24 1:39:35, stay there few seconds go 38s, etc, jumping every few seconds. it's more issue osmf, w e built basic test player, no additional interface, , problem repeats itself.   not happen jwplayer 5 or 6, or osmf on pc flash. not happen if use hds streaming, brings own batch of bugs we'd rather not sort out, rtmp working out apart glitch. videos encoded handbrake, in 360p, 480p , 720p resolutions, , glitch start @ same time on title or resolutions.   this glitch repeats on devices have tested, regardless of android version, or cpu/gpu. 1 device far not show glitch, htc flyer, , other devices not have gpu acceleration soo.... ideas? an update:

so, i'm not ubuntu "newb", still don't know much. should have realized, however, isn't wise update computer , ipod on same day brand new software versions.... well, late did ~_~. i've searched net, there literally nothing out there yet support on issue find. have ios 5 ipod touch 3rd gen , ubuntu 11.10. have libimobile , sync working perfect before updates. first time tried sync banshee, popped "unhandled lockdown error (-4)". updated multiple things again update manager , restarted. error gone, real problem starts. now, whenever link banshee, get's 10-30% through music before crashing (this not when it's syncing ipod, it's before says "preparing sync"). tried using smaller number of songs and, while loaded ok, crashed during "preparing sync" , ipod screen did not change. i'm assuming bug since it's fresh after release, want make sure there isn't else can do. let me know whatever els

i found 11.9 ran perfectly. amazing. upgraded 11.10 , have had nothing problems. took week before run @ all, , there errors, crashes, things used run on 11.9 won't run anymore.. had erase partition , start again scratch @ 1 point, losing files spent lot of time working on. well, sort of own fault, i'm sure there better way things have saved files, if hadn't upgraded wouldn't have had problem in first place. there way downgrade 11.9? thanks! posted cmo999 i found 11.9 ran perfectly. i running new clean install of cf10 (with updates) , experiencing problems. after server reboot takes few hours cf start loading blank pages. notice in services cf using close 800,000k memory, 620,000k when server reboots.   i found page here...   http://forums.adobe.com/message/4222267   ...and wondering if fix included in cf10, or if new.   the code running on win2003s/cf8 box 5 years without problem. have changed far removing com object image utility using , using cfimage tag image manipulation (since cf10 apparently doesn't support com objects?). else same.   any ideas?  should looking in logs?   thanks,   mm More discussions in ColdFusion Server Administration adobe
