i have elements 5 , new windows 8 computer. downloader not open @ when camera connected or dows downloader icon show @ bottom right before. if go photoshop menu , click photos camera, says camera busy or not connected. when first mentioned problem said download service patch did. did make icon downloader go away , not not open @ all. because of windows 8? had xp before. if elements 5 not work on new window 8, should rid of it. suggestions doesn't have brain tech problems? from have heard (haven't tried myself), pse 5 works on windows 8, although downloader may not work. in case, have move photos hard disk other way. hey guys, have quick question , have tried search forums, google, not find same problem. tried install ubuntu (dual boot windows 7) on main pc since had on laptop ages , love it. installed , went perfect seem having major power management issues. 1) when login past login screen seems shut down monitor several minutes waking desktop. 2) reason when go put standby, not wake @ mouse , keyboard, hitting power button. in unity 2d seems freeze after several minutes , not wake up. in unity 3d, freezes , way recover doing hard reset. 3) realized after several minutes of regular computer use(maybe 15-30)it seems shut down , require hard reset. (am typing windows installation) sure there other problems , of seems power management. updated graphic card drivers latest , installed updates. if appreciative! (posted in forum, realized wrong place, mods can delete old one) bumping, have idea causing this?

i'm using acrobat 9.5 (windows) in business handle pdfs customers every day. each project, of clients prefer send me pages in pdf has been assembled. other clients send pages individually , use acrobat group them, check page order, , output assembled pdf. (we convert pdf series of images can view online in browser.)   recently started having problems projects client sends individual pages. 2 months ago, after posted project online, emailed 1 pair of pages reversed, , please fix that. pretty embarrassing, considering how basic page order is. so, 1 month ago, when combined pages in acrobat, made sure pages in sequence. s-l-o-w-l-y counting "10 ... 11 ... 12 ... 13 ... 14 ... etc" viewed pending combination in acrobat. saved result , converted pdf. time when contacted me 3 pairs of pages had been flipped, amazed.   i have half dozen clients 50 or 60 regular projects. happens 1 client. plus it's started. can't find wrong original files. have normal file numbers.  idea

ok, weird happened photoshop. busy designing advert work, happily adding layer styles text per usual , when busy selecting colour gradient overlay colour picker menu froze. i can still select colours , photoshop still active (if move cursor screen menu buttons still work options greyed out can't save , restart) can't escape menu. neither "cancel" button or "ok" button working, "x" button isn't workin , hitting escape doesn't work either. when try , click in menu error "ping" , photoshop opens adobe photoshop web page if click on canvas cursor becomes ink dropper , selects colour. is there other way can out of layer menu without restarting , losing progress? really don't want have shut down photoshop because i'm pretty sure it's been while since saved , ad involves lot of etching don't want have scratch.   for sake of clarity, menu i'm stuck on:   can raise preferences (cmd/ctrl-k)? hello , i'm trying install joomla 3.6 on windows 2012 server,iis8.5 , remote database mssql 2012. i'm getting error when trying setup database connection: could not connect database. connector returned number: database sqlsrv_connect failed i use php 7.0.10 , have installed drivers sql server.iis showoing phpinfo page,so no issue here. can connect database server machine it's not firewall issue. have tried using different drivers,too i'm still getting same error. if have suggestions, please let me know. thanks mod. note: relocated topic apache/linux iis webserver forum.
