i have screen using 3 different types of controls: textinputs, comboboxes, , dates. controls highly customized controls custom skins , stuff. i have discovered because of dates controls screen getting slower open after every run.if use flex native datefield controls have no problem. comparing custom datedileds natives ones , difference skins. tried rid of custom code problem still there. thoughts can cause growing time?   thanks use profiler see taking longer.   one common mistake in custom drawing code not call graphics.clear().  on every drawing pass draw set of visuals on top of old ones , number of total vectors keeps growing. when raw file badge shows file has been changed, use metadata save file & large majority of images, badge goes away , metadata status changed not show file.  of files, however, save file command doesn't work properly.  if displaying files changes, file briefly disappears, returns.  if go windows explorer , delete xmp file, again save metadata file, pops again badge saying needs saved.  can tell me might doing wrong, or there bug?  i'm using lightroom 4.3 64 bit on windows 7. you not doing wrong; it's old , known bug. metadata saved xmp correctly. it helps if uncheck box <automatically save changes xmp> in >edit >catalog settings >metadata tab. even when box unchecked can manual ctrl / cmd + s save metadata file.   you can little test: editing 1 of photos ctrl / cmd + s , go >metadata >read metadata file. you not see changes in image, means edits saved in xmp. has adobe ever resolved issue of pdf documents appear normal, when printed, text prints 1 ebcdic character forward.  printed text appears retain spacing accorded original letters.  i remember used see more reports of this, , it's bought in forums. my instinct it's old printer drivers, that's first stab @ it. i have vague recollection happen if reader/acrobat closed before printing has completed, perhaps because printing relies on temporary fonts. posted datman hey all, m17x ubuntu user here. thought put experiences here other m17x users , running. graphics have dual nvidia gtx260m, ati installs different. graphics working: first disable integrated , hybrid graphics in bios. install prerequisites: sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r` binutils pkg-config build-essential xserver-xorg-dev can download nvidia driver here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html select latest version of linux amd64/em64t drivers, , install this: chmod +x nvidia-linux-x86_64-190.42-pkg2.run ./nvidia-linux-x86_64-190.42-pkg2 reboot , x should working. note if boot while on battery, integrated graphics automatically enabled in bios , x fail start properly. sound followed niite's suggestion sound working, worked ok, sound headphone socket , not internal speakers. fix, changed line: options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m6 enable=1 index=0

i'm working way through auditon cs6 classroom in book , stuck on page 46 says "click on editor panel drop-down submenu." supposed show list of loaded files audition.  -  see pull-down menu on editor panel tab shows files loaded, not see 'submenu' or files or clues when searching or online help. hope here can me this. naturally, book thinks i'm supposed know without telling me.   tia,   ken i think may error. list see when click on down arrow icon (twirl down arrow adobe call it) on editor tab @ top left of waveform view referring to. there no actual submenu within afaiaa.
