hello everybody,   i use premiere on macbook pro, i'm not using attached aja video hardware. nevertheless, there way install pre-defined aja sequence presets (which use aja codecs)?   thank you!   mark at first, hard concept me grasp but, in cs6 codec associated particular sequence (preset) ignored, it's other parameters critical (i.e timebase/frame rate, frame size , pixel aspect ratio). use aja lhi card created, or more accurately re-named, of common presets based on avc-intra (avc-i 100) presets hd , dvcpro50 presets sd. recall kept settings untouched exception of 1 preset changed frame size 720x480 720x486 because not find preset settings.   if start 1 of these presets, critical settings predetermined , aja ready. having setting aja codec (even if available cs6) pretty meaningless. suppose if set preview file format aja codec, , exported using preview files, might see efficiency. keep preview file format set @ i-frame mpeg, quality excellent , render files quite small. yesterday, after many months of near error free use, unable log ubuntu.(10.04 lts installed using wubi) displayed message: "the configuration defaults gnome power manager have not been installed correctly. please contact computer administrator". able log on root , after experimenting , no success came bright idea : apt-get remove gnome-power-manager followed apt-get install gnome-power-manager. first part went well . however...the install failed many messages saying unable resolve ubuntu archive sites . cannot remember exact wording seems me referring ip/dns problem. anyway...i'm stuck. any/all appreciated. hal first, should remove residual configuration because wanted apt-get purge, not remove (look in synaptic). see if package in /var/cache/apt/archives folder , dpkg -i install it. if not, find way on system , install it. is somehow possible visible rulers in live view? (or bug see them in design view?) thx. not i've ever seen.   live view approximation of how safari browser render page. since browsers have own way of rendering html elements (some same , vary wildly other browsers), doesn't make sense have rulers in live view because lines in quasi-safari of dw may not same in ie8 or firefox.   imho, doesn't make sense have rulers in web design app @ due above , because viewers can change preferences , make "exact pixel" web design blow apart zooming text 1 step. we upgrading iis7/cf10 iis6/cf7. run several subdomains , cfid/cftoken cookies issued domain taking precedence on subdomain cookies we're issuing. result users getting new session on every request. can clear domain cookies , works fine. ironically, main domain no longer using cfid/cftoken , have switched using jsessionid. that's great because no longer have conflict them, users can't seem clear domain cookies because of security settings on internal network workstations.   is there way force cf request subdomain cookies , ignore domain cookies, or iis7 issue? i running same issue. chance found solution? yea, fun time. when launch amarok , program starts screen goes redrawing once every 5 seconds stopping together. strange thing is ctrl-alt-f1 , kill amarok starts redrawing again. assumed behavior because amarok crashing else isn't case because problem instantly resolved amarok closed. else experiencing and/or fixed it? damn, same problem. upraged 11.10 yesterday , first time brought amarok froze. had switch terminal (ctrl-alt-f1) , kill amarok. compiz , amarok 2 top processes cpu usage. i don't expect annoyed give enough detail of problems or trawl resources @ moment but: upgraded 11.10 , toshiba nb250 hardly coping @ all. has gone sssllloooow, each click takes second or 2 happen, windows stutter open , shut, programs take seconds open. had fast, nice , minimalist 11.04. despite getting gnome fallback desktop make bit better performance has gone. seems have filled (8gb) system file brim. can tell, i'm new linux , annoyed! had netbook running on 11.04 , pile of pants! i'm having problems embedding video content in pdf whilst retaining quality. have presentation document @ a3 size in indesign, on there video on page @ 400x224mm (or 1138x638px if change unit of measurement.   we have been getting frustrating results when using .mov h264 codec frames dropping , quality poor compared original. have tried plenty of iterations, sizing video exact proportions of box placed in, larger hd sizes, using f4v, , altering bit rates, similar results.   the odd thing when plays in floating window, quality improved suggests not computer struggling, acrobat's interpretation of scaling.   a final complication discovered using mpeg4 codec .mov seems more successful, 1 of our requirements can embedded both through indesign , directly pdf acrobat, , acrobat tells me not supported format.   it's been frustrating process , i'd appreciate if can suggest supported file type give quality required.   thanks in advance see reply previous question   http://foru
