Thread: Lubuntu and oracle virtual box

i tried instal lubuntu 11.1 inside virtualbox. gets stuck @ "using entire xx gb of vdi hard disk". cannot continue actual installation. virtualbox installs lubuntu virtual drive. please me solve problem.

have tried partitioning using "something else" option? if fails, there's else can try.

although there not alternate installer lubuntu, can still use alternate iso lubuntu installed, so:

after booting alternate installer, select language, , press f4 "mode". next, select "command line install" , main menu select "install ubuntu". follow on-screen instructions install ubuntu command line system. when prompted, reboot virtual machine. after reboot (to fresh command line install) may have switch virtual terminal (if boot splash still displayed) pressing alt+f1 (or f1-f6). login , issue these commands:

sudo apt-get install lubuntu-desktop

sudo apt-get clean

code:

sudo reboot

if went well, should @ lxdm login screen.
