hi,   i'm using premiere elements 11 on mac.   i make little home movie projects couple of times year, consisting of everyday life of our family , of son. shoot clips smartphone , video camera. when have enough clips, take them storyline (starting oldest one) , want add shooting dates (dd.mm.yy) bottom righ corner of final film. how add shooting date automatically on each clip according actual shooting date? shooting date stored in both filename of clip , inside each file (creation date).   right quite painful add dates clips hand, although add new date when shooting date changes. may have 1 10 clips/one day. hi there. interest. tried replace ubuntu 10.10 clean installation of ubuntu 11.10 on dual boot machine. both 32-bit , 64-bit installation cds ubuntu 11.10 crash black screen white cursor before should present "try ubuntu" , "install ubuntu" options. using bootable usb stick i'm able start , finish 64-bit installation. however, when booting pc afterwards, instead of grub following error: "error: invalid arch independent elf magic" grub rescue command line. boot-repair not able solve error. system has efi. pc specifications: packard bell ixtreme i6803 intel i5 2300 msi r5670-pmd1g/oc 4gb ddr3 1tb hd in advance help. grub (and therefore ubuntu , windows) working again after replacing broken ubuntu 11.10 clean installation of ubuntu 10.10. i'll keep ubuntu 10.10 until find solution in topic or on forums. or... until ubuntu 12.10.

well decided upgrade 11.10 11.04 , clickpad broken again. regretting upgrade since took me weeks working in 11.04 , previous patches not work except psmouse addition modprobe. many other things seem fixed in 11.10 seems basic feature still broken 2 years later me. fedora , suse distros seem have solved , suse in fact patches came 11.04 fix not skilled enough go , add them 11.10 default synaptics driver. added old "options psmouse proto=exps" line /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.modprobe config file of course disables synaptics driver , cripples clickpad basic functionality. might seem minor thing many, not being able use basic input features on main computer enough of headache going have explore other distros until can fixed. dual boot win7 since came mini , have use work until can find better linux solution. have invested lot ubuntu , continue use on server , computer not worth reduced functionality on depend on 100% of time. if have hp min

i've upgraded xubuntu oneiric natty , very disappointed , quite annoyed. there couple of issues i'm having problems with, first of removal of gnome-pilot repositories. not big deal, say? nobody has old palm pilots more? do! i've got 3 of them! , i'd rather not use dedicated application, liked having gnome-pilot sit on panel, passively waiting me hit sync button on palm device. second, uninstalled pidgin, noticed wasn't removed repositories, i'm rather confused reason that. i've reinstalled already, it's not big issue. however, i'm not happy above 2 removals done without asking. previous upgrades have given me full list of they're going remove, asked me if allow it. time, went ahead , removed bunch of things, gave me shorter list, did not contain above 2 applications. thirdly, i'm running xfce desktop, have use gnome applications in daily work (in particular gedit), there issue gnome applic

so disadvantages , advantages using 64 bit ubuntu os on using 32 bit? just search forum, topic has been beaten death. proprietary drivers (i.e. printers) don't work on 64-bit , 64-bit takes bit more ram. on other hand, 64-bit bit faster, if running cpu intensive tasks on system @ least 4gb of ram. if have @ least 3gb of ram , don't have driver problems, go 64-bit. i running lo 3.4.3 on ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric). when lo first released stable, moved oo lo. base forms displayed correctly. after upgrade oneiric, base forms no longer display correctly. first, forms not fill entire window have done before. secondly, because of first problem, of data contained in forms and/or sub-forms extend beyond overall form dimensions. have tried view options, none of them correct issue. including screen shot of problem. attached images libreoffice base form.png (154.5 kb, 2 views) i received reply question @ openoffice.org. known bug. work-a-round open form in edit mode , choose view>web layout menu. save form , exit, , (at least in case) forms open properly. so, i'll mark thread solved. hi elaine,   we have case since 2 weeks. have spent 2 hours on phone twice colleagues trying sort out, no luck. has been lifted higher level of support - after 3 push calls - not call back. hi guys, have 2 ubuntu machines both running oneiric. both have dual screens although 1 has pair of 22" , other pair of 24" different resolutions trying remote session 22" client 24" server. used inbuilt remote desktop , got session running but... software on remote machine loads @ resolution of host machine displays on client machine chops off bottom of screen because of resolution difference. have been able number of things program need run has number of buttons @ bottom of screen not visible , not accessible on 22" monitor. other fits in windows ok in full screen mode. tried remmina promoted others , things got worse. again session. bottom of screen still chopped off when tried full screen mode tried fit both of remote host 24" monitors on single 22" client monitor. compressed unusable. if body can find solution in either client programs grateful. in meantime have freeze n..s off sitting in garage in middle o

i had major failure upgrading 11.04 11.10 via update manager, leaving system 90% unusable. i cannot past login(lightdm),and neither unity nor ubuntu-desktop installed. cannot desktop or grab wireless signal without live image. i can console (alt+ctrl+f1). if gain wireless access may able fix broken packages in aptitude. but have 11.10 live image on usb stick. writing on now. so can try upgrade again image? i'm pretty sure 11.04. i see post relevant using desktop image on usb stick not cd. if post relevant, i'd know can locate "cdromupgrade." use alternate cd image on usb stick if necessary. so possible upgrade 11.04 11.10 via desktop live cd without network access? any appreciated. until last year alternate cd able upgrade cd.now can livr cd,but have never try method.i don´t know if pst mentioned relevan if have 11.10.you can not upgrade that,because lates ve

i have large form created in livecycle , cannot email it.  want extract couple of pages email/send server.  can done , how?   any aggreciated.   thanks, cierra i not believe in livecycle forms can extract forms. when open form in acrobat/reader tell not option. suggestion might optimize form decrease size if sole reason removing pages. had similar problem when made pdfs had few 10mb+ , pdf monster. found embedded fonts issue , reworked forms use fonts native , did not require embedded. dropped form size 10mb+ 2.5mb. have worked , reworked forms , have them down 1.36mb. still little large, email fine. when php upgraded 5.5 recently, ton of warnings deprecated code appeared on pages. able rid of such warnings on pages display articles/content. done updating settings in 2 places: the global php.ini , template layout php code. specifically, php.ini added these lines... code: select all display_errors = off error_reporting = off error_reporting = e_all & ~e_strict & ~e_deprecated & ~e_warning & ~e_notice , template.... templates/gk_templatename/layouts/default.php added these lines: code: select all error_reporting(0); ini_set('error_reporting', e_all & ~e_notice & ~e_warning & ~e_strict & ~e_deprecated); ini_set('display_errors','off'); however, these fixes did not rid of deprecated code warnings on advanced search page. driven k2 filter & search module. can add error_reporting command (or other command) control that? php 5.5 no good; recommend use php 5.6 minimum j! 3.6.2. let me start saying first off hate windows, love open source. linux php/mysql community believe in stuff. being said, i'm not linux admin, don't write pearl , can barely move around unix shell. made cut linux 6 months ago , installed ubuntu 10.10. love it, got configured conky compfiz (graphic desktop dealo, might have mis-spelled it). right in world. since have lost configs , 1/2 programs update 11. hate unity, terrible in opinion. i'm flat shocked @ community backed this, after reading more swallowed pride , tried used it. tonight went ahead , installed next update 11.10 , sure enough in regards config wiped again. got reports more lost programs , @ point i'm freaking pissed. last thing want config damn os again tweeks, find fixes broken programs update killed, , know @ point never run update form ubuntu again until have week off configure way want. question why? why make these update force less technical audience abandon ubuntu? no small t
