hey,   i creating simple reader app windows 8. use simple shapes, no appearence effects, many text styles, few artboards , few slices. overall performance poor when scrolling around document , dragging objects around. changing text (typing) performing poorly.   added poor performance, illustrator regularly crashes when scrolling document using scrool bars or hand tool. dies crash report windows popping up. happens several times day.   i never had problems cs5. mercury-run apps suffer instability, fireworks dead due out of memory... mean, come on adobe! i working in cs6 on mac running os 10.8.3 creating layout book epub file. the  text given me 1 word doc book 1 continuous file. i've used style sheets throughout text , chapter headings.   the chapter headings , toc heading (just word contents) style sheets both set them begin on new page in both keep options , exporting tagging tabs.   the first pages of file cover, title page author info, toc , chapters. none of these text boxes until chapters start linked. i've created toc styles under layout menu exporting using chapter headings style sheet info listed in toc.   everything comes out perfect when create epub file except word contents @ bottom of title page. since style sheet created heading duplicate of chapter headings , work fine, can't figure out why contents isn't starting on top of next page.   should break document apart , import chapters book file or not selected correctly in style sheets or epub export options tabs? you shouldn't have create book file.

i have had trouble since installing lion , cs6 colours. example 362 green. client's corporate colour. the swatch book had cmyk values of 70c 0m 100y 9k. did swatch selection in indesign cs4 , earlier osx. the new values 73c 13m 100y 1k. quite different colour. on screen , print.   i tempted rename colour 'client x green' , use old values.   however, i'm sure there must reason behind these new percentages. wonder if should "sorry mr client, adobe , pantone have changed colour" , not interfere.   i have tried using pantone bridge selections, different again.   am one. ami alone   regards kel in color space work? hello   i'm getting different results using indesign cs4's find/change tool. document behaves 1 way when text find/change pefromed, , differently grep find/change. hoping might able me figure out why there difference.   here workflow   1. blank indesign document loaded xml (proprietary) authoring program 2. copy blocks on page contain either place holder number of "0" or fulfilled 6 digit number 3. use indesign find/change add "id" in front of "0" or 6 digit number 4. when unknown 6 digit number determined, new xml file created , loaded indesign document 5. if had used tect based indesign find/change in step three, when step 4 performed number populates , "id" remains 6. if use grep based indesign find/change in step three, when step 4 performed, number populates removes "id" want "id" remain.   i'm want se grep find/change because can find both 0 , 6 digit number   here 2 find/change search , replace criteria   te

hi all, after installing gnome-rdp ubuntu software center in version 11.10 using gnome classic interface, icon not show anywhere on menu. can launch terminal looks funky. have been backing .gnome-rdp.db years , has kept desktops/clients won't read db , said looks different. have done lot of searches on cannot find anything. 1 has issue? have done 3 fresh installs , same thing happens every time. ideas? i having problem converting raw jpeg within lr4, have done slight editing on 59 photos , when go copy them flash drive message " file missing" don't know do. i'm not aware can convert raw jpg in lr? don't think it's possible. mean produce jpg raw file? did save jpg's 1 place? how transferring them flash drive....using explorer? try 1 @ time, maybe when export 59 jpg's raw files lr runs out of memory, doesn't create jpg's , miss message?
