i'm on ubuntu 10.04 lts , fine till 2 hours ago, since when i've spent time trying make things work again. trying install latest drivers nvidia website, v285.05.09 (since i'm using latest drivers available in ubuntu, nvidia-current v195.36.24, yet webgl doesn't work in either chrome or firefox, , suggest try latest driver versions). after installing , rebooting, x starts error, prompting me run in reduced graphics mode and/or restore graphics settings. when checked /var/log/kern.log saw: code: nvrm: api mismatch: client has version 285.05.09, nvrm: kernel module has version 195.36.24. please nvrm: make sure kernel module , nvidia driver nvrm: components have same version. my questions has 2 parts: how make these latest nvidia drivers work? if try out , doesn't work...how roll had before? here's tried, no avail: picking restore graphics settings option in initial error prompt x under administration > hardware drivers, see

about 3 weeks ago, indesign cs6 began acting up. when had been using , saving document half hour or so, lose ability save document. save-related commands became grayed out. came forum advice, thinking 1 document. advised file had become corrupted, , should export idml file, open , resave it. worked.   over intervening weeks, has happened several times, on several different documents. problem intermittent. can work hour no problems. time, save command become unavailable after typing 1 sentence.   i using os 10.8.3 on quad-core mac plus 16gb of ram   obviously vital program has become corruped. ideas or suggestions? are files stored on network or hard drive? i'm not sure if i'm doing correctly correct me if i'm wrong.   i have 1-minute clip i've been working on. first 30s want playback @ normal speed. between 30 , 36s want playback speed gradually increase double normal playback speed. @ 36s want stay @ double speed few seconds , gradually return realtime playback. don't want go normal speed double speed. i've read possible timewarp effect or enabling time re-mapping. since don't know how either decided tuts on timewarp. didn't find , when add timewarp effect footage layer, color correction did on disappears.   i guess i'm wondering 2 things: -how accomplish speeding , slowing down described above? -if i'm supposed use timewarp, why create issues color , how fix it?   thanks advice. i'm new ae i'm starting learn lot of technical stuff. i've been working on grading project night (and day) , tried rendering h.264 several times.  however, when render, completes , quicktime file hidden.  haven't been able view of files i've attempted export (this 5th time, tweaking render settings little bit each time).  speedgrade has eaten on 100gigs of harddrive, by  hiding completed exports.  i've checked /applications/speedgrade/contents/macos , aren't there.   haven't had speedgrade crash on consistent basis while rendering.  1 else experiencing problem? here's log file recent render.  same thing happened.   2013-03-23 [ build 6.0.4x18 / 2012-09-11 ] machine:   ethan-daytons-macbook-pro.local in domain user:      essdayton mode:      64-bit display:   display not detectable driver:    driver not detectable cpu:       name: intel(r) core(tm) i7 cpu m 620 @ 2.67ghz            model: 37, family: 6, stepping: 5            total threads: 4            features: mmx sse sse2 sse3 ssse3 sse4.1 sse4.2 aes popcn
