css hover code

hello all. on site wanting use hover code have few questions.

the code have right makes boxes go 40% opaque when hovered over, wanting have text in box go bold , color of box go 40% opaque, played code bit couldn't quite work.

 

on site www.coloredfortunecookies.com right hand side see quick order guide, first box "12 cookies" when hover on text goes bold, on other boxes color goes opaque, how combine these two, text go bold , box color opaque, ideas?
