Epub export question

i working in cs6 on mac running os 10.8.3 creating layout book epub file. the  text given me 1 word doc book 1 continuous file. i've used style sheets throughout text , chapter headings.

 

the chapter headings , toc heading (just word contents) style sheets both set them begin on new page in both keep options , exporting tagging tabs.

 

the first pages of file cover, title page author info, toc , chapters. none of these text boxes until chapters start linked. i've created toc styles under layout menu exporting using chapter headings style sheet info listed in toc.

 

everything comes out perfect when create epub file except word contents @ bottom of title page. since style sheet created heading duplicate of chapter headings , work fine, can't figure out why contents isn't starting on top of next page.

 

should break document apart , import chapters book file or not selected correctly in style sheets or epub export options tabs?

you shouldn't have create book file.

 

in single indesign document, there 2 primary ways force page break. in epub export options, on advanced panel, in split document menu, can choose single paragraph style, or can choose based on paragraph style export tags.

 

if open paragraph style panel menu , choose edit export tags, can see paragraph styles, can tag them html tags (a idea), , can select paragraph styles create split.

 

which of these 2 options did use? if necessary, try other method of splitting epub chapters, or breaks on particular heading, contents.
