Thread: Borked up unity/compiz... again

this time tried activate compiz effect via ccsm (i think wobbly windows) , compiz crashed , froze screen. used control+alt+backspace keystroke force logout. logged in.


unity wasn't there, (non-unity) panel @ top file, edit, , like. able pull terminal , launch ccsm, find settings wiped out.
turned on thought should on, don't know if got everything. also, whenever open non-maximized window, opens in top left corner title bar behind unity panel. yeah thats annoying


need list of needs on in ccsm, , way windows not open in corner.
, without having reset unity or compiz

try booting recovery mode, typing:

code:

sudo apt-get remove compizconfig-settings-manager

then

code:

unity --reset

this should solve problems. or log ubuntu unity 2d same
