so, using gui drag/drop pretty out of question? have font on desktop want place in usr/share/fonts/truetype folder. since unfamiliar terminal commands perform simple task, doesn't happen? i'd install fonts, apparently i'll unable so.

though appreciate security concerns mentioned in foregoing link, i'd still install fonts gui.

if read rootsudo pointed out in thread can see can sudo command line or launch nautilus gksudo
