hey,

banshee , clementine don’t seem able create smart playlists have , and or searches. amarok can that, there don’t find way can searches, string included in tag.

use genre tag general genres: rock, metal, electronic, folk… use comment enter kind of information. example: genre: metal; comment: speed metal…

now, when need loud , hard music, want make search this:

genre = metal , ( comment includes speed or comment includes trash or comment includes brutal or comment includes death)

said, in banshee , clementine can choose queries connected , or or. in amarok can create wonderful queries, love way now, there doesn't seem other operator »=«, »<« , »>«

looks quod libet has pretty advanced search function. can save searches. smart playlist is, after all.

mpd has plugin smart playlists, doesnt comment tag available. if know python, hack though.

check out exaile, doesn't contain functionality other ones mentioned do.
