Thread: Can't boot up

i'm running ubuntu 10.04 , can't boot up.

system dual boot windows xp , ubuntu.

i've tried using livecd boot , fix grub livecd won't go further word ubuntu dots underneath of moving across screen.

i've disconnected hard drive boot livecd no success.

when tried boot again "read error" on screen , that's all

ideas?

hardware failure or use usb live stick of ubuntu boot verify.
