How can I make metadata saved to xmp file stay saved?

when raw file badge shows file has been changed, use metadata save file & large majority of images, badge goes away , metadata status changed not show file.  of files, however, save file command doesn't work properly.  if displaying files changes, file briefly disappears, returns.  if go windows explorer , delete xmp file, again save metadata file, pops again badge saying needs saved.  can tell me might doing wrong, or there bug?  i'm using lightroom 4.3 64 bit on windows 7.

you not doing wrong; it's old , known bug. metadata saved xmp correctly.

it helps if uncheck box <automatically save changes xmp> in >edit >catalog settings >metadata tab.

even when box unchecked can manual ctrl / cmd + s save metadata file.

 

you can little test: editing 1 of photos ctrl / cmd + s , go >metadata >read metadata file.

you not see changes in image, means edits saved in xmp.

Joomal 3.6.3 update error - PHP temporary folder is not set - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
