Update from 3.4.8 to 3.5.1 - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
i trying update joomla 3.4.8 3.5.1 using joomla update component. don't seem have same options listed in instructions in forum. options update channel default, joomla next, testing, custom url. have tried default , joomla next when click update, changes screen , sits there. nothing else happens. ideas?
as of j340 options update channel. instructions referring to? maybe should check docs.joomla.org instead.
you should on default channel. changing channel in options doesn't apart setting whatever chose. go components->joomla! update , should tell whether or not there update. when not go extensions->manage , choose update servers menu on left. verify joomla! core active (green tick mark). otherwise activate , check update again.
you might try click xml link joomla core. should provide xml content. next try "https://update.joomla.org/core/sts/extension_sts.xml", followed "https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/releases/download/3.5.1/joomla_3.5.1-stable-update_package.zip".
