Photoshop elements 5 w/Windows 8 problem

i have elements 5 , new windows 8 computer. downloader not open @ when camera connected or dows downloader icon show @ bottom right before. if go photoshop menu , click photos camera, says camera busy or not connected. when first mentioned problem said download service patch did. did make icon downloader go away , not not open @ all. because of windows 8? had xp before. if elements 5 not work on new window 8, should rid of it. suggestions doesn't have brain tech problems?

from have heard (haven't tried myself), pse 5 works on windows 8, although downloader may not work. in case, have move photos hard disk other way.

Upgrade 3.4.8 to 3.5.1 failed "download package failed" - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
