Can't type in a text box or text callout box

i'm using windows 7, ie 9.0.8112.16421, , acrobat version 10.1.6. working in priorietary platform reviewing material , can use of commenting tools , can create text box , text callout box, cannot type in them. text box , text callout box work fine every other program use on system. requires using acrobat , tools within platform , cannot type in 2 boxes in situation. first suggestion was acrobat problem. have repaired , reinstalled several times no avail. said sure acrobat reader not installed (and wasn't). i've cleared history. online reviewing system requires specific java script in specific place -- we've installed, deleted, reinstalled, etc. , still doesn't work.

 

i've used platform on computer , works fine. got new computer in february new cs, , problem occurring on new system. , when using acrobat in platform.

 

would have suggestions might try? said had 1 report of person having same problem, had reader installed.

as 1 has tendency miss easy items myself (as seen request earlier today :-)), thought i'd ask...

 

are trying click text box , not getting chance type in it? if so, have tried typing directly in comments list?

1. in comments list, click entry text box. (this should select box.)
2. in entry in comments list, click below the comment header info ("page n  mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss pm"). if you're lucky, text field appear (white box) , can type note in there.
3. when finished, click outside of entry. entry saved , text appears in text box.

 

this dependent on item being text box, not rectangle :-)

(if it's text box, icon in top corner of entry in comments list have 't' inside of it.)
