i have imported joomla 1.5.18 based website locally on computer using mamp. works fine. have done because willing upgrade joomla 1.5.26 , try locally before doing on online domain double check looks (better safe sorry).
i have 1 question it: upgrade in joomla 1.5 means overwriting files through ftp. far have used filezilla, locally (on mamp) not know how it. have tried trivial copy-and-past did not work. process not refined, guess, ftp overwriting process looks directory directory better care , precision.
so though setting local connection profile on filezilla (my beloved ftp client) following guide:
but unfortunately not work , shows error:
strangely have not found other tutorials online, quite surprising since believe testing joomla installations (and upgrades) locally should not unfrequent of task?!
if not possible, how can locally overwrite joomla's files in similar manner "filezilla way"?
thank in advance might me!
