(i have dev/audio). no icons exist anywhere showing presence of camera. have been searching extensively, in these forums, cannot find solution. please me make 10.04une locate camera. on hardware compatibility list albeit different model number.

laurel@netbook:/$ ls /dev/aud*
/dev/audio
laurel@netbook:/$ ls /dev/*vid*
ls: cannot access /dev/*vid*: no such file or directory

laurel@netbook:/$ dmesg | grep uvcvideo

laurel@netbook:/$ dmesg | grep crystal
laurel@netbook:/$

laurel@netbook:/$ lsusb

bus 004 device 001: id 1d6b:0001 linux foundation 1.1 root hub

bus 002 device 001: id 1d6b:0001 linux foundation 1.1 root hub
bus 001 device 001: id 1d6b:0002 linux foundation 2.0 root hub

the model number can make lot of difference, is, chip of camera can entirely different.

lsusb output, i'm camera isn't supported/recognized. honest seems isn't plugged.... (because lsusb should show device , name, without proper drivers, afaik)
