Illustrator files will open on originating computer, but not on networked computers

i have small creative dept uses illustrator cs5.1 v15.1.0. each system has own registered version of software.

 

computer 1 create file, save , can open fine. however, computer 2 , computer 3 can not open file. can see on network drive, error "the file not readable."

 

troubleshooting that's happened:

     • it's not permissions issue, know of. "get info" shows ability read , write of same files.

     • files saved using same settings in "save" menu used on other 2 systems

     • systems running same system software

     • files saved on network drive, , opened there, if file copied locally, still not open.

 

computer 2 , computer 3 can share , open files fine.

 

thoughts?

don't open files directly networked drive, usb stick or other removable media.

 

illustrator not cooperate networks.
