im guessing closed in network because configuration doesnt mirror real home network

more networking thing sharing thing, gateway on each device incorrect.

gateway should device handles traffic if not on local network.

ie on 192.168.1.x network
if have packet destined 172.18.1.x computer know not on local network , send default gateway.

im not sure if messing shares, recommend setting default gateways 3rd different ip address test.
may messing up,

additional, think it, if routing issue, ping 1 machine other , see if 1 side fails.
