Thread: After installing SLiM, I cant boot into Ubuntu

i installed slim login manager, , on first boot after install, computer stays @ black screen after chose boot ubuntu in grub. must've gone wrong when installed slim, didn't errors, i'm not sure be. installed repos.

prefer slim working, i'm not against going gdm if slim isn't workable. want able login again.

i'm running ubuntu 10.10, way.

it's easy system if you're not afraid use grub commands. i'm not saying fix problem, though if can't in usual means, can grub command pressing c when you're @ grub menu.

you'll see @ bottom of tutorial don't need lot of information start, since "ls" command tab can find partition , kernel/initrd version.

remember, when using tab give grub information possible, ie: "linux /boot/vm" instead of "linux /boot/" or "linux /boot.

...then fix slim once you're in, or use boot repair fix grub. boot repair:http://sazeit.com/articles/repair-or...th-boot-repair

can boot livecd , use boot repair straighten out grub setup

Joomal 3.6.3 update error - PHP temporary folder is not set - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi -- after after loading files of joomla 3.5 program, went site , tried open complete installation. got message: fatal error: require_once(): failed opening required '/homepages/37/d199794875/htdocs/gnustories/libraries/import.legacy.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php5.5') in /homepages/37/d199794875/htdocs/gnustories/includes/framework.php on line 15 ran fpa program. hope way make available here. http://gnustories.org/fpa-en.php winku your domain name seems not working - not showing fpa report php page holding page generated isp (1 & 1) the easier way generate report fpa script , copy reply of thread (that intended way done). suggest review instructions on generating report makes format suitable forum.
