Thread: External SSH not working

erm bit baffled maybe can see missing.

use ssh log home computer work. when upgraded 11.10 seem have lost functionality.

can ssh in within home network
eg:
ssh [myname]@[localhost]
or:
ssh [myname]@[lan-ip]

if google , external ip:
, do:
ssh [myname]@[my-true-ip]

gives no response. if debug hangs at
debug1: connecting [my-ip] ["[my-ip]"]

if boot in old 10.04
, repeat above can log in normal
suggests me it's not router.


if can log on locally , router
port forwarding okay sort of
lost check next.


did 11.10 maybe add sort of
"block ssh response sources outside lan option"
somewhere?

hints appreciated

can attach terminal output here in forums when ask it? have gui installed browser on ssh server getting @ ?
