Thread: macbook pro 8.2 no wireless on Ubuntu 10.04.2
i'm new user linux , i'm totally lost.
on macbook pro8.2 using cd im not able boot linux operating systems 11.04 natty, 10.10 maverick. able book 10.04.2 im not able ethernet , wireless working waste of space in hardisk @ moment.
when try install 11.04 or 10.10 after ubuntu picture comes tries load , error:
busy box v1.13.3 (ubuntu 1:1.13.3-1ubuntu9) built in shell (ash)
enter 'help' list of built in commands.
(initramfs) unable find medium containing live file system
10.04 lucid got installed
please me out in way linux sorted out. wanna know how start ethernet in 10.04.02 or install 11.04. please sort me out.
tried upgrade 10.04.02 10.10 shows me error saying packages missing download them.but need internet.
need internet install few open source softwares studies
need sort out wifi.

the bootable ubuntu version 10.04.3 lts. means, have install 10.04.3 , upgrade within versus installing fresh copy onto macbookpro8,2.
also, wireless....
need following:
- compat-wireless: go linux wireless , download compat-wireless-2.6.tar.bz2
- the latest version of bw43-fwcutter (version 015)
- broadcom's proprietary driver extract firmware

know says support macbookpro8,1, works 100% on mbp8,2 (which talking using).
