Thread: Migrating from Windows 7 to Ubuntu 11.10

hi, newbie ubuntu.

need answer few basic questions before move 100% windows ubuntu.

1 office excel macros, can import them or create new macros in libre.
2 metastock , amibroker stock market softwares can use them flawlessly in windows.
3 office excel has web queries, office libre support this.

reading ubuntu unleashed 2011 version. suggest other thing study , shift ubuntu.

want shift ubuntu on belief ubuntu lighter in weight on pc , windows 7 sucks after 2-3 months of installation.

pls guide...

libreoffice has compatibility problems ms office. interchanging files between them not recommendable. said macros not working in both programs.
programs mention feel difficult work in linux , if work through emulator, never have full workability have in windows.
have try dual boot installation both windows , ubuntu, or use virualbox.

Upgrade 3.4.8 to 3.5.1 failed "download package failed" - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
