Thread: 11.10 Screen Blacks and Locks

using 11.10, love 1 pesky issue. if walk away notebook , leave lid open, upon return screen black , appears locked. no normal key stroke brings back. if close lid, after 30 seconds, upon opening screen , can enter pswd in. however, doesn't work , hard boot necessary restart computer.

may simple, it's got me stumped.

if going lock screen mode during inactivity , giving black screen.

have tried typing in password , hit return key desktop.

sounds in hardware may failing or process eating cpu , ram point freezes. computer specs/more detailed information in post nice..

can run top in terminal see going on guess.
