Windows 8 and Premiere 11??? Please help

i'm on windows 8 (64 bit) , pe11.  today lost work although had saved regularly , have re-render often.  tonight i'm trying re-do day's work, i'm losing sync , entire clips keep disapearing.  seems becoming increasingly unstable.  don't know if i'm doing wrong or, possibly, windows 8 , premire elements 11 aren't best fit.  i've noticed few other post mentioning window 8 problems although seem differ mine.

 

the head of @ company wants remove windows 8 , install windows 7 on computer (mainly becasue of vpn issue) afraid lose work.

 

can suggest way, or number call, tell me how can save work, rid myself of windows 8 , re-import work windows 7 enviornment?  fear 2 weeks of work going in smoke. 

 

ps posted earlier, having increasing frequent crashes.

1. i'd advise making complete system backup before handing machine on os install. use product macrium reflect. there paid version have, there free version.
2. make note of path project assets , .prel file.
3. ensure project assets (stills, clips, sounds) , .prel project file backed disk, or flash drive. deactivate pre11 on machine before handing on w7 installation.
4. after w7 installed copy project assets , .prel file same folder on machines hard drive in (2) above.
5. install pre11 , activate.
6. open project file.
