Objects, Paths, Guides hidden until Mouse over

i'm new using illustrator. have version cs6. i'm going through lynda.com illustrator cs6 essentials tutorials , watching chapter 2, video 5: using rulers, guides, , grids.

 

the document we're looking @ video supposed have guides showing already. can see them in video. in illustrator, they're not there. made sure guides turned on , they're not locked. can add guides , move them. however, when move mouse away guide placed there, disappears until mouse on again. guides supposed in file still not showing up, if mouse on should be.

 

i playing 1 of flowers in file , ungrouped parts of flower.... , flower parts/paths disappeared. each part show if mouse on them individually until move mouse cursor away again.

 

what heck going on? i've got setting that's wrong somewhere don't know is. can me?

have accidentially hit toggle show/hide edges cmd(ctrl)-h?

hi -- after after loading files of joomla 3.5 program, went site , tried open complete installation. got message: fatal error: require_once(): failed opening required '/homepages/37/d199794875/htdocs/gnustories/libraries/import.legacy.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php5.5') in /homepages/37/d199794875/htdocs/gnustories/includes/framework.php on line 15 ran fpa program. hope way make available here. http://gnustories.org/fpa-en.php winku your domain name seems not working - not showing fpa report php page holding page generated isp (1 & 1) the easier way generate report fpa script , copy reply of thread (that intended way done). suggest review instructions on generating report makes format suitable forum. Joomal 3.6.3 update error - PHP temporary folder is not set - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
