i need bit of explanation on setting home dns server. have followed step step instructions "the perfect server" various distros, , although clear , simple setting up, big picture 1 understands vague.

bind daemon run , relay outside world, yet maintain local lan w/s's don't crap out , reset nic addresses default s in 169series windoze does.

have tried ispconfig under "the perfect server" option , it, again lacks lot of detail understanding.

second can give me simple explanation on netmasking. understand if set standard class c home net netmask 255.255.0.0 should able run 254 w's on each of 254 subnets. correct?

sorry if isn't exact forum post find 1 fit questions exactly. thanx

i'd rather use dnsmasq instead of full blow bind server local dns server.

easier configure.

subnetting can bit complicated can run 254 hosts on class c network.

192.168.x.1 192.168.x.254

192.168.x.0 , 192.168.x.255 not used hosts.

having subnet of 255.255.0.0, make class b network.

Joomal 3.6.3 update error - PHP temporary folder is not set - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi -- after after loading files of joomla 3.5 program, went site , tried open complete installation. got message: fatal error: require_once(): failed opening required '/homepages/37/d199794875/htdocs/gnustories/libraries/import.legacy.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php5.5') in /homepages/37/d199794875/htdocs/gnustories/includes/framework.php on line 15 ran fpa program. hope way make available here. http://gnustories.org/fpa-en.php winku your domain name seems not working - not showing fpa report php page holding page generated isp (1 & 1) the easier way generate report fpa script , copy reply of thread (that intended way done). suggest review instructions on generating report makes format suitable forum.
