How to put spaces between a stack of social media icons?

on following test page

you see on right hand side 7 icons various social media. if horizontal there small space between them not when vertical. becomes problem on smart phone because small , touch each other.

 

i tried putting "<p>  </p>" (for reason text put between <p> </p> doesn't show )  between them space. though making container div , separate div padding each seemed clumsy , thought there must way.

 

is there elegant solution put space between them?

add padding-bottom: 5px; (ore more depending on how space want)
