i new java, , not programmer trade.  have had success creating bonus structure form check boxes add or remove percentage of total bonus pool.  need massage data bit more.  here situation.

lets have 3 boxes involved. 1. gross salary (var gs).  2. years of service (drop down box: var  yos)  3. weighted gross salary (var wgs)

the goal input valule variable gs, apply multiplier based upon variable yos).  example 5 years multipler 1, , each year plus or minus 5 +/-3% modification.  value populated variable wgs.  can assist quick example how write this.
