Lightroom 4 Quit Recognizing External Drive

i running lr4.3 on vista 32 bit system. have new toshiba external drive has been storing work lightroom. has been working great until last night. working on photos , of sudden banner came across top saying photos missing or offline , folder missing. external drive still plugged in not lit up. unplugged , shut down (multiple times) drive has disappeared selectable drives on left hand side. can access external drive through windows , photos there lr4.3 not see it. how can lr see drive again?

are images still visible?  if are, right click on 1 of images , choose option go folder in library.  bring drive back.  has letter external drive been changed?

Joomal 3.6.3 update error - PHP temporary folder is not set - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
