Tape versus SD

i'm thinking of replacing minidv camera hd version , wondering expert views on medium in our future. liked minidv because provided me inexpensive way of archiving raw footage. on other hand, wasn't fond of time-consuming capture process.

unfortunately, feel tape @ end of lifespan video recording. it, , reasons list. real-time capture bit of drawback (really bothered some, more others), used time make notes me in editing later.

 

the tapeless workflow here stay, imho. more nle (non linear editor) programs support tapeless (though there still specific digital media files not accepted nle's), , pretty seamlessly.

 

of course, predicted total demise of dvd-video, once bd sorted out. did not happen, , various reasons.
