Thread: run Xmodmap before log in screen (LightDM)


for reasons irrelevant post need change keyboard keys around before logging in

have custom .xmodmap file in home folder , works fine kicks in after have left log in screen , started n gnome

question possible make .xmodmap file run before lihtdm loads ready when need put in password or alternatively there else need o change me keys in login manager?

open terminal , type

code:
sudo nano /etc/rc.local
enter password. not echoped screen.

add line

code:
/usr/bin/xmodmap /path/to/your/.xmodmap
before exit 0; command. add switches want.

press ctrl + o save , ctrl + x exit.

test rebooting.
