Update 3.6.4 to 3.6.5 Fails in Every Way - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i cannot update 3.6.4 3.6.5.
live update returns error: download of update package failed.
upload & update returns error: archive file corrupt, truncated or archive parts missing.

i downloading , choosing package manual method:
https://downloads.joomla.org/cms/joomla ... format=zip

joomla administrator reports:
upload_max_filesize = 50m
post_max_size = 50m
upload_tmp_dir /var/www/html/tmp
/var/www/html/tmp writeable.

i can’t think of else try. ideas?

solved. system information can lie! tab:

system > system information > folder permissions

can report folder writeable when not. in our case, /var/www/html/tmp (temp folder) reported writeable, though permissions 644. change 755 did trick.
remember that, because admin control panel reports folder writeable not mean is.
