Flashplayer update crashes during install.

i trying update flashplayer on dell pcs using following oss & browsers.

xp prefessional, xp home & windows 7

ie8 ver 8.0.6001.17802

ie9 ver 9.0.8112.16421

firefox 19.0.2

after downloading exe file flashplayer ver 11.6.602.180

upon clicking on file downloaded, installation begins error box pops

 

an error has occurred in script on page.

then no matter do, pops second error box with

this has been going on year & surprised adobe has not fixed yet.

i cant remember how got around last few updates, time consumming , because tried unistalling flashplayer & error continuing happen, have no flashplayer.

is there can suggest alternative flashplayer?
