Thread: grub rescue prompt (and missing grub2 options)


earlier today upgraded 11.04 11.10. upon completion boot options were:

ubuntu 11.1
ubuntu 11.1 (recovery)
ubuntu 11.1
ubuntu 11.1(recovery)
memtest
memtest (recovey)
windows 7

attempted remove duplicated 11.1 entires (the second pair). after using grub customizer reboot , found had memtests , windows 7 options. during attempts follow repair advice fromt eh ubuntuforums, screwed "grub rescue" prompt unless booting 11.04 off of usb stick.

there way can fix grub resue problem (and grub2 options problem).

appreciated!

is there anyway recover system way was? either doubled 11.10 loaders or when win7 , 11.04 worked perfectly? lot of data on windows 7 partition.
