Link newsflash articles to category blog hidden menu item - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i using joomla 3.6.4 , jce editor.

the home page of website of type 'single article'. have articles - category list module single category linked titles , intro text activated , limited 100 characters.

i have created hidden menu item of type 'category blog' same category displays articles in full.

the intention when click on of linked titles in articles - category list module, take me category blog page (/next-events). doesn't, goes full article own url, e.g. "/next-events-bulletin/8-third-article" , don't see of other category articles.

if had set home page 'category blog' rather single article, read more links, these automatically go full category blog. why can't articles modules work same way? seems such obvious , basic feature have, can't find answer - or better still, solution - anywhere.

i can't have home page category blog blog not main feature of site.

any suggestions?

please provide link can check trying achieve. article - category list displays list of articles in specific category logical opens category.

the way want create new menu (name blog links menu) "links type blog" , publish corresponding module position 'user300' in menu module , insert module in frontpage article {loadmoduleposition user300}
