Thread: Missing folder on external HD with fat32
hello forum,
sorted music files on external hd , 1 folder missing. tried fsck, dosfsck , testdisk, though i'm not sure if used proper flags. drive formatted vfat32. whe try access folder via shell, get:
dosfsck says:code:ls: cannot access musicfolder: input/output error
dmesg says:code:musicfolder contains free cluster (...). assuming eof.

please no advice format whole hd, not option...

i recovered data using photorec , ordered new hd.
