i must love being abused.
using natty happiness. laptop , iphone talked seamlessly on bluetooth. tethered interwebz flowed freely on same channel. life champagne , roses! made horrible mistake of upgrading oneiric. roses withered , bubbly stopped fizzing. no bluetooth??? wtf???
ahhhhh, found blueman! perhaps life not suck after all!!! alas... suckage!

i'm on hp tx2510 dreaded broadcom43xx chipset , oneiric 64bit. iphone 3gs, running mywi. on natty, had tick "use phone pan" , off n runnin.
installed blueman , phone popped immediately, crashed. tried traditional pair between iphone , laptop, crashed. after few restarts managed pair, can't make them connect (not on serial connection, ftp or pan). can use pan, not other connections. if disconnect pan entire bluetooth stack appears crash forces me restart entire computer before can reconnect. have 3 entries in network connection chooser menu iphone, 1 of works , it's guessing game pick right one. choose wrongly , entire stack crashes again , have restart... again.
on note, have have both bluetooth symbols in notification bar? 2 managers cause conflicts?
not why moved commercial os's linux.
