Thread: IP address keeps changing

hello...

i'm running ubuntu in vmware workstation 7.1.4.

networking vm nat , working okay. i'm connecting internet, host etc... vm

however, when put host sleep , restore, ip address of ubuntu virtual machine changes in steps of 2.

i.e :

ip 192.168.20.148, put host sleep (vm still running), wake host , vm have ip of 192.168.20.150, put host sleep again, wake , vm 52 etc.....

i'm using vm web dev server, it's annoying ip address keeps changing !!

please guide me either set static ip vm or keep same ip following host sleep....

the host shouldn't changing ip addresses when goes sleep.
