Cs6 Monitor Issue Question
ok bought new monitor , love graphics seem darker viewing in web in photoshop,
the monitor got lg ips led 27ea63 question have tried calibrating no avail , looked on tablet , dark have profile can use or can best monitor profile right have set color match rgb want photoshop accurated
web browsers not color-managed. photoshop is, monitor color profile (associated monitor @ operating system level) has match monitor's capability. have read, monitor has srgb gamut.
you don't browser you're using. "viewing in web" isn't sufficient. they're different in way handle color-management.
if consistency between applications goal, here's 1 possible zero-additional-cost approach may take...
1. in windows color management dialog, ensure srgb iec61966-2.1 profile, specifically, associated monitor, , ensure "windows calibration" disabled. add , make default in devices tab sure.
2. set on-monitor controls @ center-scale, might want turn brightness down. photo work brightness lower default preferable.
3. go page 1 , use controls gamma/brightness/contrast in display driver calibrate output gamma response close ideal value of 2.2: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/
at point, browser internet explorer - always assumes monitor displaying srgb color space - won't far wrong, , images match see in photoshop.
regarding color space choose preferred setting editing, i'd suggest using defaults (e.g., srgb iec61966-2.1 rgb working space) until such time learn why might want edit in color space has larger gamut (i.e. printing on systems offer wider gamut). suggest checking "warn if" boxes, know if you're opening image doesn't match preferred setting.
the above approach net greatest consistency between applications, of partially or not color-managed. in short images stand greatest chance of looking same in photoshop on web browser.
there other possible approaches, including using calibration , profiling device measure differences between ideal, accurate color , system delivers. encourage read on color-management. it's not simple subject, it's necessary if care colors in work.
