Thread: fail to download repository information when updating

hi,

i've been reading answers similar problems don't answers mean ... absolutely not computers .... open source idea

so, i've upgraded 11.10 when want run update following error message:

failed download repository information, check internet connection.
w:failed fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/tiheum/equi...source/sources 404 not found

, w:failed fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/tiheum/equi...-i386/packages 404 not found

, e:some index files failed download. have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

there nothing wrong internet connection. can please describe in simple wording how solve this?

i had same problem different source last night. waited until today , re-entered ppa source , ran following in terminal .

code:

sudo apt-get update

i had no problem connecting source today. if ppa compatible 11.10 probibly connection glitch source . if persists check launch pad page ppa see still compatible 11.10 .

if remove source source list software no longer update .
