Thread: desktop the size of a billboard after upgrade

hi all, after few days of ignoring update decided upgrade, upon finish of installation of ugrade desktop huge, can see part of right side of loggin box, agter loggin can no longer see top bar there before put pasword in box, tried ctrl alt f1 , f5 open terminal. can;t see there. if type few words can start see things again. until goes next line.

decided try go in via live cd, , move files around incase need reinstall, while in live cd, there config file can modify can resize desktop, or seeinga possible video card issue?

before go ahead , reinstall, try summoning dash using <super> key, otherwise known windows key. there can type "display" search box , first thing should appear in list of results display settings. here, can check display resolution like.

can use spaces feature move windows around desktop. can run either clicking on icon in launcher or following same process opening dash did display settings. when desktop zooms out , show 4 different spaces, can click , drag applications between different spaces, , can use position display settings window in such way isn't running off side of screen.
