Adding an expression to Source Text breaks alignment?

this big wtf me.

 

i have text layer. center-align text in it. moment add expression source text (even default text.sourcetext) becomes left-aligned , refuses go center-aligned. huh?! seems common thing, missing? there else need in expression center aligned?

i'm not seeing behavior (the expression text stays center-justified). version of ae?
