Thread: How do I get rig of Unity.

come last straw unity. faunt colours have changed point real hard read screen. after searching ubuntu site , internal docs can find no way change them.

finding programs bear if don't remember actual name of application.

want switch old gnome shell.

installed gnome shell start screen no longer has list o installed choices of gui when loging in.

how can add choice of gui @ log in or plain trash out unity more usable desktop?

gone seems old days of switch gui's on run.

click small 'cog/gear' icon right of name @ log-in screen. installed de's listed , can choose prefer.
should have unity, unity2d, , if installed gnome shell there too, couple(?) of fall-back versions of gnome.
(i'm assuming you're running 11.10)
