Thread: mail cli.... can't exit the program

hi all...

have small problem can't find google answer for.....it's simple it's little hard explain...

have been using mail:

code:

mail -s "testing" --append=from:"test subject line" foo@bar

i cc: prompt leave blank, compose body of message....
exit program , send mail, thought do, skip line pressing enter,

type period (.) inter again....nothing happens...i figured how interrupt

control -d sent mail...not dot following blank space..... , not behavior expected nixcraft
article....

guess can live control d , need figure out how mail download gmail mail if that's possible...
