Error when trying to make site https - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi

i have site - date - can't accept https.

whenever isntall certificate on server domain , go global configuration set site https, refuses save , tells me server doesn't support https. however, got hoster install new version of joomla on same server , setting worked fine. problem not server.

i tried using admintoolsand settings in there htaccess make site https, no luck - worse, stripped out domain name urls , nothing worked until deleted htaccess.

this big issue on particular site.
can help?

Joomal 3.6.3 update error - PHP temporary folder is not set - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
